Housing Affordability Fund booth in both Sacramento and during 2025 Reimagine! Conference in Chula Vista, CA or through one of your local Housing Affordability Fund committee members.
More than just a raffle, your participation helps support the Pathway to Home Closing Cost Assistance Grant Program, which provides up to $10,000 in closing cost assistance to first-time homebuyers from underserved communities, helping them bridge the affordability gap and achieve homeownership.

C.A.R. Housing Affordability Fund Raffle Official Rules
1. How and When to Purchase: Raffle tickets available for sale from April 28, 2025, through 2:30 pm on September 17, 2025 at the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) Housing Affordability Fund booth during the 2025 Reimagine! Conference in Chula Vista, CA (“2025 REimagine!”), or until tickets are sold out (“Raffle Period”). Raffle tickets are $20 each. Raffle tickets purchased at the 2025 REimagine! may be purchased with card, cash or check. Raffle tickets purchased anywhere else may also be purchased with a card, cash or check. To purchase tickets, contact the C.A.R. Housing Affordability Fund (“HAF”) Committee Members or Staff at (213) 739-8352.
2. Eligibility: Ticket purchasers and winners must be 18 years of age or older and residents of the United States. Only one name may be entered per ticket. You may buy as many available tickets as you wish. All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable. Employees of C.A.R., their subsidiaries and affiliates and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate. Immediate family members include their spouse, registered domestic partner, parents, children, and siblings of that individual.
3. Prizes; Odds of Winning: (i) Grand Prize: $5000; (ii) 2nd Place Prize: $2000; (iii) Two 3rd Place Prizes: $1000 and (iv) Twenty 4th Place Prizes: $100 Gift Cards. Gift cards not redeemable for cash; no substitutions. Odds of winning will depend on the number of tickets sold throughout the Raffle Period. A maximum of 2500 raffle tickets are available for purchase. Only one prize per person. If fewer than 1076 tickets are sold, the Grand Prize will be $2000; the 2nd Place Prize will be $750; the 3rd Place Prizes will each be $250; and the 4th Place Prizes will each be $30.
4. Drawing: Winners will be drawn and announced at approximately 2:30 p.m., on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the C.A.R. Housing Affordability Fund Booth during REimagine! at the Gaylord Pacific Convention Center in Chula Vista, California, except that drawing date and announcement date may be changed in the sole discretion of HAF. Winners do not have to be present to win. If not present, HAF will use commercially reasonable efforts to attempt to contact the winners by the contact information provided on the ticket stub. If a winner is not reached within a reasonable period or if the winner is ineligible under these rules or applicable law, that person will not be awarded the prize, and an alternate winner will be chosen at random from all other entries. If no eligible winner is found and contacted after five draws, HAF has the option at its sole discretion to not choose an alternate winner and may choose not to award the prize.
5. Other Rules: All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Gift card issuer rules and policies may apply-contact issuer for additional information. Raffle is void where prohibited by law. Prizes may be taxable, and tax reporting and/or withholding may be required. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form W9 or the equivalent. Winners must promptly provide HAF with information necessary to comply with federal, state, and local tax laws. By participating, each purchaser and winner: (1) agrees that the HAF, C.A.R., its subsidiaries and affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, trustees, employees and agents shall not be liable for any personal injury or property damage whatsoever in connection with the raffle or prize(s); and (2) releases and agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the HAF, C.A.R., its subsidiaries and affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, trustees, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, actions, damages, liabilities, injuries, losses or damages of any kind (including, without limitation, attorneys’ fees and costs), whether known or unknown, resulting from or in connection with purchase of raffle ticket(s) and winner’s and winner’s invitees’ acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize(s). HAF reserves the right to reject any ticket purchase if payment does not constitute “good funds.” Prior to the prize drawing, HAF will make a reasonable effort to notify any purchaser that their purchase has been rejected because of lack of good funds. HAF and C.A.R. assume no responsibility for lost, misdirected, late or non-delivered mail. By accepting a prize, each winner gives C.A.R. and HAF permission to use winner’s name and/or likeness, business information, and association and regional affiliation for publicity purposes. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances in raffles, lotteries or similar drawings for valuable prizes are not gifts, and consequently do not qualify as deductible charitable contributions. Raffle ticket purchasers should consult with their own tax adviser for any questions regarding deductibility. Proceeds will go to the C.A.R. Housing Affordability Fund. By purchasing any raffle ticket, ticket purchaser acknowledges that he/she has read, accepts, and agrees to be bound by all the rules, limitations and restrictions set forth herein. By accepting prize(s), winner acknowledges that he/she has read, understands, and agrees to be bound by all the rules, limitations and restrictions set forth here. Failure to comply with these rules, limitations and restrictions and the reasonable requests of HAF may result in winner being declared ineligible (in HAF’s sole discretion) and an alternate winner selected. HAF interpretation and application of the rules and its decisions shall be final.
